Rehabilitation Center
For 40 years, Presbyterian Home has been a leader in providing long-term and intensive short-term rehabilitation for seniors. These services are available on an inpatient or outpatient basis, short or long-term and are covered by most insurances. The Rehabilitation Center is among Central New York’s best facilities for aquatic, physical and occupational therapies.
Inpatient Short-term Rehabilitation
Inpatient short-term rehab is intended for seniors with the potential to improve mobility and independence and return to their homes. A custom designed training bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are used to gain ability for an independent lifestyle. Inpatient short-term rehab specializes in orthopedic, neurological and cardiac recovery.
Inpatient services for short-term rehab are offered in a homelike atmosphere designed for the comfort and mobility of the patient. Fully furnished bedrooms offer televisions and telephones. There are also private dining rooms, a lounge and beverage bar, and internet service available.
Both out and inpatient rehab feature equipment
especially designed for seniors; computerized
balance systems for evaluation and treatment of movement disorders; audio scan; and whirlpool therapy.

Aquatic Therapy
The Rehabilitation Center at Presbyterian Home offers a state of the art, warm water, four foot deep pool with easy access. All aquatic programs are customized for the individual patient and a qualified therapist is in the water at all times.
