Community Wellness Partners Celebrates 50-Year History of Presbyterian Home of Central New York Community Involvement

NEW HARTFORD, NY – The Presbyterian Home of Central New York, an affiliate of Community Wellness Partners, hosted a community event  on June 1 at the Presbyterian Home, 4290 Middle Settlement Road in New Hartford, to celebrate 50 years of commitment to the Mohawk Valley.

"Over the past 50 years, the Presbyterian Home has grown to include new communities, services and amenities to better meet the changing needs of our community members," said Community Wellness Partners President and CEO Michael Sweeney. "We’ve improved our grounds and buildings, and are in the process of starting even more major renovations that will bring added comfort and modern conveniences to the people who live and visit our community. We’ve also recently transitioned from Presbyterian Homes & Services to Community Wellness Partners – a name that reflects our renewed commitment to live our promise every day, for the next 50 years and beyond."

Presbyterian Home of Central New York first opened its doors to the public as an 80-bed nursing home for the senior community in 1967, and was founded on the promise of compassion and devotion for every person the organization encountered in the later years of their life. Since that time, the Presbyterian Home has grown into a multifaceted community serving more than 1,000 people per day through home care, independent living, assisted living, rehabilitation, skilled nursing care and more.

"We have been blessed to meet and care for thousands of individuals and families who have become part of our community, and our family," Sweeney said. "We appreciate every family member we have had the pleasure of serving."
